Juniors
Welcome to junior cricket at Chester County Officers. We run Under 13 and Under 15 teams in the North Cheshire Junior League, and the ECB's Dynamos programme for 8 to 11 year olds. Everything a parent or carer needs to know is on this page, and if anything isn't covered, just email us.
Age groups
- Dynamos Cricket (age 8 to 11): the ECB's fun, fast introduction to the game, with short games and skills sessions
- Under 13s: league matches in the North Cheshire Junior League
- Under 15s: league matches in the North Cheshire Junior League, with a pathway into senior cricket
Juniors are encouraged into our Saturday and Sunday teams when they're ready.
Parents: help run the junior section
- Team manager: organise match days for an age group (availability, lifts, kit and the team sheet)
- Parent communications: send emails and updates, and keep the group chats and Spond up to date
- Fixtures: arrange friendlies and liaise with other clubs and the league
- Kit and equipment: look after the junior kit bags and order shirts
- Scoring and umpiring at junior matches (we'll show you how)
- Helping at training and Dynamos sessions
- Driving to away fixtures
No cricket experience needed, and an hour or two a month makes a real difference. Some roles working directly with children need a DBS check, which the club arranges.

Photos and filming
- We only use photos of children whose parents have given consent
- We never publish a child's photo alongside their name
- Junior matches are not livestreamed
- Tell us at any time if you'd like your child's name left off the website's results and statistics
We follow the ECB's guidance on photography, filming and social media.
